| Multiple Intelligence |
Intelligence has frequently been measured by taking the students' results from school tests or grades as a basis, rather than including other fields where students excel. All of us have our own gifts, skills, and capabilities that help us to understand and transform our environment.
Howard Gardner, a psychologist from Harvard, defined the term Multiple Intelligences in 1983 based on the following criteria:
The capability to solve real problems.
The capability to create effective products.
The potential to find or create new problems.
Gardner defined intelligence as a capability that is dynamic: this means it can be, and should be developed. Gardner discovered many levels of knowledge and developed his theory of multiple intelligences. Ultimately, he identified 8 different types of intelligence.
